Thanks to Daughter and Son-in-Law

My trip of a lifetime to Santiago, Argentina and Antarctica was underwritten by my younger daughter, Mary Ann and her husband, Brad.
My gratitude is enormous!

My travels

From time to time I will be posting photos and remarks about my travels. Ever since I was a small child I wanted desperately to get out of the State of Michigan, my birthplace in order to see the world. When the family would travel to Monroe, MI to enjoy a house at Lake Erie during the summer, I always wished we could go further south to Toledo, OH so I could see it. Of course, I hadn't considered the fact that I'd visited a foreign country, Canada, when we drove across the river!
Since then I have had the opportunity to travel from Alaska to Antarctica. It is enlightening to see how others live and makes me grateful many of us here in the US have been blessed with so much.
Meanwhile, I will be writing about traveling to strange places and meeting interesting people OR traveling to interesting places and meeting strange people.
